I agree with you on everything you said here Joe. I would like to add one more important thing. I do not wish to "convert" anyone or proselytize my views. Everyone has their own path to follow to their ultimate truth and I do not wish to impose mine on anyone. The farthest I will go in this regard is to recommend books and websites to those who believe in God or a higher power or whatever but do not believe in religion or the bible and are still searching.
I must admit though, I kind of enjoy debating religionists who self righteously feel they have all the answers and are bent on converting me. I look at it as a chance to make them think.
