Default The Afterlife

Personally, I don't believe in an afterlife of any kind, but I'm interested to see what others think besides the catholics I'm exposed to normally.

i don't think theres a afterlife either. it'll be like an endless deep sleep, with no dreams. and i will be unaware. for i will be gone.

Sometimes I see hints that there may be re-incarnation, if you read 'Many lives, Many Masters' by Brian L. Weiss it had some interesting stories, many of which were at least plausible, although I do not consider this enough evidence to prove that there is re-incarnation. I have also heard that the bible once contained some reference to re-incarnation, but it was removed for obvious reasons in a later revision. Not to mention that there are several religions that believe in it, but no, I don't have enough evidence at this time

The only honest answer I have is I haven't a clue. And could care less.

is there an after life; three answers for me

logical - don't know
emotional/intuitive - no
practical - live life as there isn't!

My answer is simple as its based on my own experience. I don't remember a time before consciousness and so I don't presume an end to consciousness. But I have no beliefs on the matter. I don't expect anything specific to happen when I die.

That is my philosophical answer.
My practical answer is that I don't really think about it much.

I dont believe in it.
I believe we are biological beings and when we die, all our systems stop and thats it...
If we were to reincarnate or to "live" and afterlife, would this imply the existence of a soul, and the existence on a plce for the souls to be hanging out for eternity or until we are reincarnated?

lets see,

I can see how ending my line (blood or thought) is a good thing.

Either something or nothing, I am with marm on this one. Does not effect how I try to be.

I don't know. Does anyone know what might cause the "light at the end of a tunnel" near death experience if it isn't real? Why the same hallucination from many different people?
