| Merry Christmas, Everybody I may not believe in a omniscient god, I may not believe that Jesus of Nazareth was divine, and I may not believe that God wrote the bible, but I believe in the spirit and hope and philosophy of peace and giving of this holiday.
I leave you with the most profound lyrics written for Christmas I have known over the last thirty years. Quote:
They said there'll be snow at Christmas,
They said there'll be peace on earth,
But instead it just kept on raining,
A veil of tears for the Virgin birth.
I remember one Christmas morning,
The Winter's light and a distant choir,
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas tree smell,
And eyes full of tinsel and fire.
They sold me a dream of Christmas,
They sold me a silent night,
They told me a fairy story,
'Til I believed in the Israelite.
And I believed in Father Christmas,
And I looked to the sky with excited eyes,
Then I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn,
And I saw him and through his disguise.
I wish you a hopeful Christmas,
I wish you a brave New Year,
All anguish, pain and sadness,
Leave your heart and let your road be clear.
They said there'd be snow at Christmas,
They said there'd be peace on earth,
Hallelujah! Noel!, be it Heaven or Hell,
The Christmas we get, we deserve.

| Thanks duck ......Merry Christmas to you too.
I'll be giving it a rest for the next few days. She who must be obeyed.
Merry Christmas .... Geshtie, Lecter, Vinterland, Marmalade, Skepti, Og, Buddha, Thomas Henry, plus anyone else who's been nice..... and I suppose begrudgingly to all the passing trolls.

| Merry Christmas! I hope Santa brings everyone joy and health and warm tamales. Yummmmers. I am going to be spending it with my elderly momma in the guest home she's at. I don't celebrate, but for her I do. Got her lots of nice presents too. I can't wait to see her face when she opens them!

| Goes to show what Christmas is really about.
May the spirit of love, peace, and giving bless you all.
I will even be attending midnight mass with my wife and her family. I have to say that there is a peace giving experience there that I would miss greatly if missed it.

It's just a calming place to be. I would take my mom, since she's Catholic, but it's too cold, she's too old and not in good health.

| Geshti, one of the best experiences I have had was spending most of Christmas day helping my father in law and the other deacons in his church taking communion to the elderly and the shut ins. Acts of kindness are so appreciated, and it gave me a lot of warm fuzzies bringing kindness and peace to those folks. One of the many times I seriously considered joining the catholic church. That is still a possibility in the long run for me.

| Yeah I know what you mean. Since I am not a religious person, I find other ways to do acts of kindness.
My mother lives in a home for elderly mentally ill women. So for Christmas I got them all little gift bags and filled them with candies and a sparkly drinking cup. I figured they can take their meds in something shiny! It's like being in a room full of grandmas. They are very nice..though totally bonkers!
