Mmmmmmmm... tamales!

Happy holidays to one and all, whatever one you celebrate... and all the best in the New Year, too.

He is the true 'Marmalade'.

He was my childhood cat from when I was 5 and lived everywhere I lived until I graduated and he died when I was 22. He was my bestfriend growing up. He liked long walks in nature and eating the heads off baby rabbits. This picture was taken when he was older, but he was fairly spry even then.

My kitty keeps me grounded and happy when I get too lost in thought while roaming around the internet. I love my kitty.

* I was wondering when someone would ask about my kitty.

I leave you with the most profound lyrics written for Christmas I have known over the last thirty years.

Quote:
They said there'll be snow at Christmas,
They said there'll be peace on earth,
But instead it just kept on raining,
A veil of tears for the Virgin birth.

I remember one Christmas morning,
The Winter's light and a distant choir,
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas tree smell,
And eyes full of tinsel and fire.

They sold me a dream of Christmas,
They sold me a silent night,
They told me a fairy story,
'Til I believed in the Israelite.

And I believed in Father Christmas,
And I looked to the sky with excited eyes,
Then I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn,
And I saw him and through his disguise.

I wish you a hopeful Christmas,
I wish you a brave New Year,
All anguish, pain and sadness,
Leave your heart and let your road be clear.

They said there'd be snow at Christmas,
They said there'd be peace on earth,
Hallelujah! Noel!, be it Heaven or Hell,
The Christmas we get, we deserve.

--Greg Lake
thank you

ELP, my god speaks through them in many songs and feelings they stir in me.

May you all find yourselves in company that you enjoy, doing things that enrich and inform your lives.

Peace, love and... chocolate? Yup, gotta have chocolate in there somewhere.

That's beautiful. I had a kitty like that. His name was Ian. I also had a wonderful German shepard that passed away as well. Her name was Gabrielle. I keep a stuffed shep and cat on my window sill just to remind me of them.
