ILoveGod, you got me banned for the AN site.
Told little Jakie he needs to grow up ... lol ... poor kid got mad at lil' ol me.

Question:
When a non-believer is rude first.
Then a believer says something back.

Why ya’ll get mad?

No change = no growth.
I mean you may not ever believe and that’s ok. But why not try to change?
I try and change every day. I try and be just a little better today than I was yesterday.

For me: I have to work on not being rude to rude people.
This is a struggle for me.

Text has no inflection. Sarcasm in text based chat can be both percieved in non-sarcastic statements and missed in sarcastic statements. Are you being sarcastic?

If not, how has your new perception on life changed your attitude toward this forum and the many idea's expressed here?

I think a lot of people on this forum try to be evidence and logic based. Whereas the theistic religions, I have come into contact with, are very much faith based. I think that a lot of friction is created during discussions, because with a few exceptions there isn't a true discussion. Agnostics (and possibly atheists) don't really understand faith.... they don't feel it the same way as you. Of course there are agnostics that come from very devout and evangelical backgrounds (I'm not). Whereas theists don't really understand what constitute evidence and proof from an agnostic point of view. I presume you are Christian, so I presume, at least part , your objective is to spread the word, for my part you are welcome. But as I was trying to explain godlovesyou, you must enter our world of evidence and logic for you to be successful.

I never really thought about the diffrences in the words. I really have no ideas right now I just think I have been miss the using words. Just never though of it untill I read your post.

Language is an amaisingly powerfull tool. Its ever evolving. As this site has shown, there is a lot of room for growth.

If I say "apple"
Og may think of a green apple
while at the same time
Romansh may think of a red apple

Now if I say "Red Apple"
people will still think slightly differant apples, but..
if you are thinking of an orange , meaningfull communication is lost.

Nice... when you said apple I immediately thought of the Beatles? So words not only conjour up different meanings but different memories and emotions.

ohhh right, i think i learned about this in english honors ten, its called an oxymoron right? so let's review, god cannot be proven, so that would mean there is no conclusive evidence, because existence of god can't be proven, right? but the evidence is here, ok so there is evidence not accurately documented or officially proven but hey, it's there. i see. now all i have to do is believe in the "evidence" and god will be proven right? i think you're fighting a losing battle godlovesyou because no one is willing to google either christianity or satanism and believe that information as fact anymore than anyone is willing to just believe in unseen evidence of a god.
