| Creationism in schools So I was flitting through our booklet for genetics and evolutionism in Biology, and stumbled across a section on creationsim which we will soon be learning alongside evolution. And it really 'd me off.
Creationism isn't based on any logical or scientific evidence, so it shouldn't be taught in Biology It is based on belief and faith, so it should be taught in the churches, and perhaps R.S.

| Transfer to a different school. That school gets gov't money based on number of people present each day (if it's a public school).

| Yep Creationism should be no where near a science book or even the class except possibly as a casual mention ONCE since there is no ACTUAL proof of Creation.

I have no problem with it in Religious Studies as it's religion, but it's got nothing to do with science. |

| Is it a Catholic school or something? They tend to give great academic educations and unfortunately everyone wants to toss ID into the science mix. Thanks George W Bush you nutbag!

| No, it isn't a Catholic school, it's just a regular state school. |

| I actually had a Science teacher who refused to teach the big bang theory because she didnt believe in it, and according to her, it would be a sin to teach. Why is she even a teacher? =/ Not to be totally random! ^^

| Are you serious? Yeah, being a science teacher, you're supposed to teach certain things whether you personally agree with them or not. I agree, if she has a problem with science, she shouldn't be a science teacher. By withholding that information because of her own completely irrelevant beliefs, she would be denying you your education and that isn't right. Actually, she's not even supposed to be telling you guys about her religion or that she thinks it's a sin! Teachers are supposed to be neutral. You guys could have reported her and got her fired. ^_^ I guess this bothers me so much because I've been thinking about being a teacher and I would not act the way she did. Quote:

Why is she even a teacher? =/ Not to be totally random! ^^ | I had a sex-Ed teacher who refused to teach us, what she called, the 'fun bang' theory (FBT) because she said it was immoral and against her beliefs.
she said that the stork brings children.
me and my wife are waiting for years for that stupid bird. where is it?
I'm starting to think that there is something in that FBT.
could someone here explain it to me? thanks.
