Default Is there any reason why both of these could not have happened?

Is there any reson why both of these beliefs couls not have happened to some extent. I mean God did create the world, but things have been evolving for hundreds of years. There have been fossils and bones found of prehistoric alligators, birds, etc. So evolution definitly has taken place, I just don't believe that it is how the world was started. I do believe that God created everything, just not in the form that we see today, because if he had, where would all of the fossils, bones, artifacts etc coome from? So you see both of these things can be believed in because both have happened in my point of view. What do you think?

I think most people here would agree with what you say. I know i do. To me this isn't the real concern or direct question. The concern with evolution is evolution is not consistant with a personal God. It compells us to say God started a process (by design), set things in motion and then withdrew letting them run on their own. There is both plot and subplot to evolution. The bigger picture if you will.

Isn't that what microevolution is? I think there is some merit to what you are saying.
