To me, and i hope some people can back me up on this, but when you die....................you just sleep and rot in the ground, no heaven no hell, just rot.

Makes sense, except for the sleep part. Brain function ceases with death (sometimes before as I'm sure we all know) so there's no sleep. Just decomposition.
Well you could attack the whole conundrum scientifically with E=MC^2. The whole idea that if you destroy matter it's converted into equal energy (a lot of energy). You can't lose matter without equalizing that matter with energy. And energy is converted into other types of energy (electricity in a light bulb=>light and heat) So maybe our souls (using that term VERY lightly) are converted or transferred as well because that energy can't dissappear.

Yeah... I was wondering about the sleep part. Do you really think you sleep? Or that you are dead? I wouldn't want to start rotting if I was just asleep.
