I don't believe we came from apes, and I don't believe we just appeared either. I believe in God and I believe that he did create us. I think that the Bible uses a variety of metaphors and that when the world was created, although it says days, it probably means thousands and thousands of years. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it, but I think that we were created over a period of years and the Bible just shortens it and gets to the point - otherwise it would be probably ten times longer than it is.

no, we did not come from apes, that is outlandish and foolish. the truth is that WE ARE APES. Thats all we are, intelligent animals.

Okay... so if people didn't just appear like Adam & Eve, and there is no evolution.... how were humans made over a long period of time? Like, first God made an arm - carefully crafting it over a millenium - and then a shoulder... etc.

To the ape thing. Yeah... humans are primates - most definately - but we did not decend from the great apes of today. Apes and humans share a common ancestor. We are just two branches on the mammalian tree

I'm amazed at how many people don't know this is what evolution is. Not that we came from the apes of today, but we are distant relatives each branching out in different ways and "evolving" based on survival.
