Default Teaching Creationism

By creationism I assume you mean teaching Intelligent Design. I object to ID right now being taught because ID isn't honest. ID will have to state what it's objectives will be. Right now it wants to prove God exists using science fact and theory. You're going to be awed by science.

Part of the problem I thought was theroy not being absolute. I suppose when we hit that non-absolute roadblock we'll just say God. And at what point do we end teaching the creationism part because most people believe God creates every day. In fact we can go beyond science then and apply this to social sciences.

The thing is the science that will be used in this endevor already exists, in textbooks and on college enterance exames so it's nothing new here. Also we're talking about grade school and high school topics. People seem to think evolution is simple and they understand it. You don't even begin mastering its challenge until college and beyond. Our schools can't even handle required student curriculum and we're going to add this. I'd rather have music reinstated in schools.

Today we think we understand God better then Quantum Physics. At least creationism will be an easy A. Now the enticing part is, when the first student raises their hand and asked then where did God come from, then we're into pure religion.

But both can be taught in schools, just very carefully. If parents want to keep students out of one side or the other, so be it.

There are some problems that have to be dealt with openly. We look at this as being benign and harmless walking blinding into this. You must understand the supporters and oppenents.

Right now ID'est want creationism taught becuase it introduces God back into the schools. Creationism is a substution (for God) and a way to get in. Of course the hope is there will be convsersion. So it is a matter of a view of truth. We're all aware of this. As far as creationism, do we teach Egyptian creationism, Summerian creationism, Islamic creationsim, or Yahweh creationism. Why don't we just teach the Big Bang creationism.

If you aren't aware Creationism is an American idea that has the support and comes from born again Christians. It has an American theme and if you read current authors they openly state, because it is brand new, ID'ism is true as evidenced wiith the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Now what that has to do with creationism I have no idea, but you must be aware this is part of the foundation behind the people making creationism important. As the idea is refined such statement will be removed. If this is what you want, send your childern to Catholic schools.

ID is to open the science-religious debate stirred with Darwinism centuries ago. Only Americans take this so seriously. Other non-American orthodox religious (Europe) hardly take this seriously and don't see the need to worry about ID and find it amusing we do.

The dangers are greater then the reward. What you are not told is creationism is to prove the Bible and support Biiblical claims. Obviously the Christain (Western) idea of it. Though well intentioned, the so called merger of science and religion is to prove God, not just any God, but Yahweh is real. If Creationsim is to be taught we must clearly stir clear of anyone's agenda. The greatest danger may be it will lead to continued division of religions by the inferrence other beliefs are now proven without doubt to be wrong. The truth is we want so much for God to be real.

Creationist will also teach children the world is young not old, that all life forms today come from Noah's time obviously (maybe this is why we have no dinasous ,maybe even that Noah is a real person, that the world was covered by a great flood. I think Creationism is taught at the most inapporiate time of a persons life, when they are young and most impressionable. School have taken far to much responsiblity from parents. It will be taught in elementry and high school. There's a reason for this and others are making the decision for you. So just keep this in mind. In any case it should an elective with the option of not being forced upon someone based on parental approval.

I will assure you, you cannot find comfort from science. Everything that ID'ist will use is already availalbe in current books you have. In science books, etc. It is your choice, so make it wisely. Because there is a fact that any salemans knows, the first and most important step is get your foot in the door. Once this in place, you cannot retreat and with draw.

I'm going to give you some pratical business knowledge you can take with you. You want to implement a program for the company. Some change is needed as determined by market conditions. So someone suggests a 6 month test with the option to implement or not. After 6 months the plan is adopted. Even if it isn't perfect it is adopted, why, because millions of dollars have been spent of it, resourses have been expended, entire new system employed set up to support it, revision of policies, and hundred if not thousands of man-hours employed to it. To do aways with the program would be throw millions of dollars away and it would not be cost effective to undertake or start a new program. The solution is and always has been to fix the system not to discard it.

So be very cautious and be aware, it is not your vision but their's. I know you are prideful and think no one can think for you or that you will ever be tricked. But once you are, you will have no one to turn to. This is the real world people.
