HHMI (Howard Hughes Medical Institute) is the second largest philanthropic non-profit institute in the USA second only to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

They're the second largest contributer to science education in the USA (second only to US government).

The above link takes you to their catalog of FREE DVDs and print material about the current state of medical science, evolution, molecular and cell biology, etc.. They're all free and part of the philanthropic mission of HHMI. I highly recommend them.

There are a broad variety of educational materials that I would highly recommend. HHMI is a very cool organization with a huge endowment and active in many fields of educating people in science.
