EVERYBODY, and every animal, is different. Even within a species, each individual animal is unique. Determining different species, orders and classes is the measurement of how different they are. Animals within a species are different, but similar enough to be able to reproduce. Reptiles have more in common with other reptiles than with mammals, but within the reptiles there's plenty of variety, which makes for different species.
Now, as time goes by, DNA code changes. So in year A, every animal within a species would be similar to be in the same species. They're successors are all still similar enough in year B to also be in the same species. But by the time year B takes place, there have been enough changes within the species that if you compare the animals from year B to year A, they would be different species.
