I guess that's what I'm saying. Everything interacts with everything else and every object you define is an expression of (is driven by) everything else (its environment).
If you put an electron in a box, quantum illustrates that the electron has a finite probability of being inside and outside the box. The probability function is defined by a wave inside the box and is defined by a decaying exponential outside the box. The probability density outside the box is small but extends to infinity. This is the definition of a particle in quantum mechanics.
And since all particles have effects that extend to infinity, they are all interacting as one gigantic process effecting one another.
No particle is an island separate... All is one process. Atoms are just high probability density locations with certain properties in the universal landscape.
Boundaries have meaning and uses to us but do not mean that something is separate from anything in a cosmic sense. There's a common image used to explain this called indra's net. It's an infinite array of jewels in all directions in space. Every jewel is polished such that with in is reflected every other jewel in the array. When one jewel moves, this motion is reflected in every other jewel and within itself.
