Default Favorite Movies?

I like TV shows, but my heart favors movies. I recently watched The Hills Have Eyes and loved it; I recommend it for all you horror fans out there. What are your favs? Here are a few of mine:

Good Will Hunting
Hotel Rwanda
The Insider
The Goonies

I personally don't have any "favorite" of all time movies. I do like every single movie mentioned in this thread so far though.

I like long trilogies like the Matrix and of course Lord Of The Rings.

Default What a question

There are SO many movies that I REALLY REALLY like that it's hard to pin down even a few. Anything black and white usually gets my nod, especially if any of the following are in it: Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Cagney, Edward G. Robinson, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis. Love Gone With the Wind. Bend It Like Beckham was one of the best movies I've ever seen. The Harry Potter movies are all great. Loved Raiders of the Lost Ark. Road to Perdition. Dick Tracy. And I know there are still dozens I've left off, but I could be here for hours.

Depends on what I am in the mood for. Sometimes I like old movies from Hollywoods late Golden Era, like "To Have and Have Not" with Lauren Bacall and Humprey Bogart, or "Desk Set" with Katherine Hepburn or Spencery Tracey.

Sometimes I just want to laugh "Jumping Jack Flash" with Whoopi Goldberg does it, or something like "Three Men and a Baby".

I have an old fashioned single plex theater in my neighborhood that runs indepedent films. Not too long ago I saw "Mrs. Henderson Presents" with Dame Judith Dench and had a great time.

Default My favorite movies

I think my FAVORITE move would be Gone With The Wind.

But I LOVE musicals from the old days. Movies with beautiful sets and beautiful numbers.

I also tend to like movies where the stars have to depend on their talent instead of their looks.

And I love independent films.
