Sorry, no opera lover here. My Father loved Opera, and was a member of a local Opera group. So I grew up listening to opera all the time. I just couldn't grow to like it. Classical music has a place in my CD player however, as well as 70's classic rock.

Also enjoy Gothic/Industrial, Scandinavian/British folk, Traditional Japanese/Chinese music, some Indian (and Metal with Indian/Middle Eastern influences, such as Samael) as well as some classical/romantic/opera (and Metal with operatic influences/vocals)

NOT keen on tacky pre-fab pop, repetitive, vacuous dance music, Hip Hop, Country and 'Nu-metal'.

Phew!
My kinda dude exactly

I heartily recommend jazz vocalist Kurt Elling. His stuff falls somewhere between the standards and beat poetry, and he has a simply amazing voice. I've seen him live twice so far and want to see him again.

I checked out the link__Not bad!

I listened to his version of "Moody's Mood", that song is one of my faves, he does it well.

Thanks Astreja
