| I agree that Tom Cruise's antics are what caused him and Paramount to split. His last movie (Mission Impossible III) did not sell all that many tickets. People just don't want to see his face anymore. He hurts Paramount's money, rather than making money FOR them.
As for that heartfelt apology--just a publicity stunt. He knows how damaging that incident about Brooke Shields was. |

| Too early to tell I think it's too soon to tell whether this all will zap Tom's career but he sure hasn't done himself any favors with his recent behavior. Big star or not, wacky antics are wacky antics and they can get you into real hot water. Just look at Mel Gibson. Studios may like the bucks you rake in but you have to at least have some semblance of rational adult behavior about you. |

| Now that people are beginning to learn about what Scientology is REALLY about they know that the subscribers to such a ludicrous view of the world and the universe are kind of crazy just cause they are. As for his behavior I have seen a lot worse under worse circumstances. I don't think he has done anything really radical. He professed his love for his girl in an excited manner on Oprah... he doesn't believe shrinks help people with meds, Jehovah's Witness' think blood transfusions are immoral or whatever, Christians think that the Anti-Christ is coming and that they are going to be beamed away to heaven ala Star Trek, etc. etc.

| If anybody rejects Jesus and goes with some wacko cult or belief system, they lose the plot of what life is all about and go erratic like Cruise.
In military terms, a missile that loses its lock on the target is said to "go stupid" and veer wildly off course.
Likewise, lose your lock on Jesus and you're in a world o' hurt.. |

| Money brings it's sins ask the most stalwart Christians... great fresh example? An American Hero: Ted Haggard
He wouldn't be such an ass if he wasn't such a religious icon. Two faced religions to say the least. |
