| How would getting rid of her hair prevent her from getting a drug test?

| You can take a length of someone's hair and do chemical analysis on a variety of sections of it to determine the chemical content of the body back down to the tip. Your hair is a very telling chemical record of your recent history.
So, as you can imagine, drugs will linger in your hair as long as its attached to your head while drugs in your system will get relatively rapidly flushed out by your liver/kidneys. The liver is a great record of your chemical history too, but to get at it, you have to do an invasive biopsy and judges won't readily grant those. Plucking out a hair is something different

| I'm not trying to be rude, but why does anybody care?
I've never seen the fascination with her in the first place. But even if she's attractive, talented, whatever; who cares? I have never understood people's obsession with celebrity. What's so special about her? She has a talent. Good for her. Still, don't we all have a talent of some sort?

| But the rich and famous facinates people jeff hence this whole thread dedicated to them. Incidently I think more for me is the message they send based because they are in the news and unfortunately influence people in society. Seinfeld is a great example even though the show makes me nauseous people seem to use a lot of that kind of idiotic logic these days.

| Now you see, I was starting to think I fit in here. I was starting to think I agreed with you. But then you had to go and make fun of Seinfeld...
Actually, my wife and I just got the first seven seasons on DVD and watch it while we use our elliptical trainer. It's mindless drivel I admit, but it keeps my mind off the fact that I'm actually doing exercise.
Anyway, I have to say that my original purpose in looking around this group, was because I just set up my website (after three years of figuring out how to do it without further injury my hands) and I was hoping to entice new visitors. I have to say however that is refreshing to see so many people who share similar beliefs. I will most likely become a regular member! Now if there was a sub-forum on food and restaurants I'd be in heaven (figuratively speaking of course!)

| Hair is really amazing. The best way to screen someone for heavy metals posining like lead, or arsenic is to do a hair test. It retains the toxins for years and gives an accurate reading of what you have.
I think Britney did it because she most likely wouldnt have consented to a urine or blood test, but they couldve done it by taking a piece of her hair without her notice.
