| Jesus was a buddhist. It's very clear. The christian and buddhist tranditions are separate folk representations of an identical elementary idea.

if i am correct, Buddha taught reincarnation, and a seperation from the world, Jesus Christ did neither.

| Untrue. Check up on the Sufi sect of islam (I think). Was started by buddhists. There's nothing saying that buddhists can't incorporate other traditions into their own or be part of different societies than indian.

| yes, islam, not christianity.
Muslims and Christians have different views regarding Christ, and the last prophet of islam is Muhhamed.

He used a cup as an example. What's the use of cleaning the outside of the cup, when the inside is still filthy?
A friend of mine, an ex-alky/druggy/psych ward resident, like me, uses the term "candy apple Christian". All bright and shiny on the outside, but rotten to the core. That's one of the biggest things Jesus railed about, being a phoney, high and mighty, and wagging your finger at everyone else. He was definitely a radical, a dangerous thinker.... | This is a pretty good description of what continues to motivate me to identify as a follower of Jesus. What I can glean about his teachings and the ethics behind them mean much more to me than all the mystical stuff that has been attached to him. As a UU, I am free to focus on those ethics and not be concerned one whit about divinity or the lack thereof. |

| I think Jesus would have been a Scientologist if he was here in this life. Mimi Rogers and John Travolta would have converted him.
Sighs no pics they will let me show... I like Mimi
