| Why do Jehova's witnesses call God "Jeovah"? Why do Jehova's witnesses call God "Jeovah"?
One of them explained it to me and at the time it made sense, but that was a while back and ive totally forgotten.
I remember him giving me biblical proofs about why the name "Jehovah" was correct. |

| They believe it to be an accurate transliteration of the tetragrammaton YHWH. |

Jehoviah witnesses usually come knocking on your door with a shirt and tie door advertising their faith and not explaining the transliteration of the tetragrammaton YHWH. |

I take no responsibility for your ignorance, but you should. A first step might be to babble less and read more. |

This is my last comment about this manner and then I turn to something more productive and meaningful.
I would never ask you or anyone to take responsibility for me or my ignorance. To imply such a thing is insulting. I admit that I do not know everything and neither do you.
Don't suggest that I should babble less and read more. This is a public forum. Perhaps you should babble less and read more. A forum is an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest. When I visit this forum, I will actively participate in public discussion.
If you have an issue with my participation in public discussion, then too bad. Either deal with it or avoid me.
I find you intelligent, arrogant, and rude.

Thanks for modeling 'active participation in discussion of questions of public interest.' Quote:

As for the OP, those interested my also wish to check out the very informative Wikipedia entry, particularly the key section on "Kethib and Qere and Qere perpetuum". |
