This forum is only a forum for people to come to and enjoy their free time sining. I want my free time to be for Christ my Lord and Savior. Not listen to a bunch of broken records play the same tune over and over again. Your use of the word "evidence" is kinda being abused. You call it rational and "emperical evidence" yet all you are playing is a game of chance, gambling with the chance that there just might be God out their who isn't too pleased. Gambling with your eternal soul, and risking eternal punishment and shame, is irrational. You are playing at a Casino which the price to play is your soul. Don't mess with the slots. In fact I would warn you not to touch them, but that would be pointless because you would just mess with them anyway.
People want to live their life they way they want. It is called, self rule. People want to do what they were told not to, just because they were told not to. It is like leaving a bunch of kids in a room, with lots of things to play with, BUT, you say, "Do not touch the piano!" What will they do? Touch the piano. Why? Simply because they were told not to, and it now is more appealing. All of us have that in us, where sometimes we want to do the oposite of what we are told, because we want to have self rule. We want to feel in control of our own life, and thinking that we are not can be a repulsive thought, so people become even more interested in doing what they are told not to. God made the world to be with law, and order, you can't live without, cause what happens if you do?
We are dust on scales which God could easily wipe off, as God says in Romans. And if you think about it, thats what happened to Rome. Think about how powerful they became, and all the land they owned. They were the most powerful people on the face of the earth. But where are they now? God could easily do the same to any nation or people. And if you compare our actual sizes, we probobly are loke molecules of dust compared to God. He could measure the waters of the sea in the palm of his hand.
God gave us language so that we could speak with eachother and understand eachother. He gave us instincts which we need naturaly to survive. He gave us the knowledge of what is right and what is wrong. When you sin, you know its wrong. If you don't you must really be a blind slave to it. God gave us math and science and our minds to hep us learn about his amazing creation and about him, but we have turned it against him and have taken him out of it, just like Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas. Although, you can't remove God from it, you just think you can.
There are so many invisible qualities of the Lord right here on earth, everything you look at. How your nails are perfectly in place, your vains, your heart,your mind, your hair, your bones, the stars, the day, the night. This is all showing us that God exists, but people call all these things a freak accident of nature...
God made the sun to rule over the day, and the moon to rule over the night. The powers of space everywhere, the perfect order of things all proves God as Lord and creator of the universe. The world always spins, the day and night come when they are supposed to as God commanded it to be. The solar system in general spins. So many things in front of your eyes, even your eyes. That God gave us sight so that we could see the lovely things he has made. People use all this for sin. Our eyes were meant for good, so that we could see the beauty of God's world and could look at our beatiful children and grandchildren, and all good things. Bt we got people watching pornography and many other evil things with which we become a slave to sin and are corrupted.
People feel satisfied when God is left out of things because it is what satisfies Satan. His corrupt army of fallen angels and himself are always working, never taking the time of day or night to stop corrupting someone somewhere. They seek to enslave whoever they can, and most do not resist because if they do, unexplainable temptation overcomes them and they are constantly pushed to do what God has commanded them not to do. To do evil, is so much easier than good, because you are going with the current, instead of fighting against it. Instead of trying to get through the current and to God, people would much rather just go with the current and the worldly way of things. Thats what it feels like if you try to live a life for Christ, walking through a current, because you are going against Satan and all his followers, against the world, and your own bodily temptation. It is so easy to just go with the world and listen to Satan. So simple indeed. If you start to make a decision to follow Christ, immediately Satan is there to do what he can to pull you from that. And if you change your mind you all of a sudden feel at ease, and can continue your way of flowing with the current.
I choose to follow the risen Lord Jesus. It will be hard and there will be times where I might fall and get set back by the current, but Jesus is always there to pick me up. I just have to trust him and take his hand.
