Just as Army Regiments award the beige beret (SAS), green beret (US Rangers) and red beret (Paras), so does God award us a gold beret if we pass his test.

The only success that matters is getting through the Life Selection Process and its a killer! :-
"All creation groans in pain from the beginning til now" (Rom 8:22)

And it sorts the men from the boys:-
"We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God" (Acts 14:22)

Jesus welcomes anybody into his squad:-
"Whoever comes to me I'll never turn away" (John 6:37)

And he'll lead by example:-
"To follow me you must carry your own cross daily" (Luke 9:23)

The C.O. shows no favouritism:-
"God didn't spare his own son" (Rom 8:32)

So if he can hack it so can we:-
"We share in Jesus's sufferings in order to share in his glory" (Rom 8:17)

And others have stayed the course too:-
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (2 Tim 4:7)

Then if we qualify we win the Gold Beret:-
"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life.." (James 1:12)

You claim your following Jesus and Jesus claims to disown any one who worships him and associates partners with god. For god to reward you ask your self what have YOU done to deserve an award? You know god created you and he has more rights on you then you could ever have on him

I have a question. If you believe in the Old Testement. Moses was before jesus and not once does it call jesus as god in the old testement. Nor did solomon, david, and all the prophets after Moses say jesus was god but told people to worship god alone. Nor did in any place did jesus asked to be worshiped. Now exuse my bluntness but this worship of jesus strongly represents idol worship

Why? Because people who worship idols don't claim to worship idols (noones is that dumb) but worship god through their idols. the idols they worship are always men who were pious of a great statue in the society ( a good example is the people of Noah) so the worship of jesus isn't a part of his relgion but something that was adopted as christians moved into more idol worshiping places and thus encorpotated this idea into the relgion. With out any offensive backlash can you justify this for me?

I've got to say, taking a bunch of quotes out of context and stringing them together in a cute little metaphor is getting a little tiring.
