BELIEVE IT OR NOT by Mick
Jesus brought out the power in people to heal themself. If they didn't believe they could do it,then they couldn't!
Examples:-

"..the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"
"Yes, Lord," they replied.
Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; and their sight was restored" (Matt 9:28 )

"Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment" (Matt 9:22)

"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road" (Mark 10:52)

"Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well" (Luke 17:19)

"Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour" (Matt 8:13)

But in some places:-
"..he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief" (Matt 13:58 )

Now here's a question he asks us all:-
"..whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:26)

Isaiah makes it clear that Jesus was no pretty-boy Hollywood star -
"He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him" (Isaiah 53:2)

Even Paul was nothing to write home about -
"For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful, but his appearance is unimpressive, and he speaks poorly" (2 Cor 10:10)

And Moses admitted to being unable to think on his feet-
"O Lord, I have never been eloquent, i'm slow of speech and tongue." (Exodus 4:10)

And Jonah was so scared he refused pointblank to be a prophet and jumped on a ship to escape God -
"Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish." (Jonah 1:3)

And Jeremiah said - "Lord i'm no good at speaking, i'm too young and people won't take me seriously" (Jer 1:6)

The moral of all this? - many Biblical people were as ordinary as you and me..

Remember, Jesus said - "I'll be back.....pray that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” (Matt 24:30, Luke 21:36)

For some reason, you seem to think that Jesus was, as Western society has portrayed him, light fair skin, blue eyes, brown hair. He was Jewish! C'mon now...Ditch the imagery that the Church has perpetuated through the years, and face reality...When you do see him, he undoubtedly looks more like Jerry Seinfeld, and less like the picture you've placed here.
