Uhh, no he didn't. In fact, he insinuated that the real Jesus looks something like that. Else, what good would it do for the 'training purposes'?

He said here that Jesus was probably ugly

Regardless, I agree with Phoenix. Christianity is so media-friendly and saturated with Hollywood ideas that you probalby couldn't find much of anything that does represent Jesus... without making it, that is.

"For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful, but his appearance is unimpressive, and he speaks poorly" (2 Cor 10:10)

And Moses admitted to being unable to think on his feet-

And Jonah was so scared he refused pointblank to be a prophet and jumped on a ship to escape God -
"Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish." (Jonah 1:3)

And Jeremiah said - "Lord i'm no good at speaking, i'm too young and people won't take me seriously" (Jer 1:6)

The moral of all this? - many Biblical people were as ordinary as you and me..

So again, the purpose of posting a big Jesus picture, other than to rub Christianity in everyone's face is...

*drumroll*

...still waiting...

This is one of my favourite pics coz it makes him look almost human -

Jesus spent a terrible long night before his death, unable to sleep and racked with loneliness as his disciples fell asleep,
But next day on the cross, as he slipped into death his tired pain-filled eyes saw a host of loyal women who'd stuck with him to the end..
"Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed his last. There were also women looking on from afar, among whom were Mary Magdalene and Salome, who followed him and ministered to him when he was in Galilee, and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem" (Mark 15:37)

They gave him the last womanly comfort they could by making sure he never died alone..
