| Oh i think john76 deserves the credit for that
If it wasn't for all these nutcases, and I'm not pointing fingers, it would be a dismal place indeed....luckily people like cathy and abel exist for the sheer entertainment which they provide for me =) oops, just pointed fingers....

| Wow. I seemed to have struck several nerves. I'm not pushing anything and I'm sorry if it seemed that way. I was only stating my beliefs, and answering questions that were asked of me. I merely suggested that John give God another chance. I did not preach to him, quote scripture, nor pronounce damnation on him or anyone else. I am a little surprised by the backlash. |

| Dearest Abel: please keep in mind, loved one, that you are posting on an agnostic forum. If you promote Christian views here, you will get responses that range from disbelief, to accusations of stupidity, to diagnoses of being psychotic. In talking to you and hearing that you gave over your life to Jesus at age ten, I know that none of these apply to you. You have been abused by a cult and are the victim of brainwashing. Please visit the following link, and gain peace from it, my poor, deluded child: http://mcrais.googlepages.com/index0.htm |

| Abel once again john kudos to you.
Abel, do not delude yourself into thinking you have had any power in this forum or that anything you said struck a "nerve" .... as John indicated we are what we are ... if we were searching in anyway for a path to your god we wouldn't be here now would we? We get your kind in here all the time ... we are like cats with a new toy, we bat you around a bit and then get tired of playing, eat some food, go to our little box ... get it out of our system and poof! you are thrown out with the rest of the poo .... thanks for the entertainment tho'
Best wishes, peace be with you and God bless!

| Abel: I'm sorry for the rashness of my last posting. I have no way of knowing for sure that you have been brainwashed. You may in fact be crazy. Tell you what: if the brainwashing website doesn't help, then try drugs. 10 mg. per day of Cipralex should help for your depression driven need to go to church. 1 mg. of Risperidone three times a day should take care of the God hallucinations. Please take care of yourself; John |

| My only delusion was that I could enter this forum and shed light on some Christian beliefs and why we believe the way we do. I haven't tried to convert anyone, nor have I condemned anyone here for the way they believe, or do not believe.
Just on this thread alone, I have been called a "Nutcase" by Kay; John called me "brainwashed" "deluded" and possibly "crazy"; debdodd also referred to me as "deluded", a "toy" and no better than cat "poo". I feel like I am back in second grade again with all the name calling.
I thought that an agnostic was someone who wasn't sure, but was open to new thoughts and ideas. I did not realize that agnostics were so closed minded and inmature.
My bad. |

| Abel's right. We've all been completely off base. Shame on you all. Tell you what Abel: If you can write to me and convincingly explain why I should convert to Christianity without using the letters 'e' or 's,' then I will repent and take up to cross. It is part of your religion to spread the word, so I'm ready! |

| Nah .... it isn't all that bad Abel ... and cat poo was in reference to something that was taken in, relieved of any usable nutrients and then discarded what was unusable ....
Where did you ever get the idea that agnostics were open minded? Some agnostics are open minded to the possibility of a greater being and then there are some like me who just won't get off the fence and call themselves an atheist ....
What possible light did you think you could shine upon our unworthiness? Do you honestly believe that we haven't searched? Haven't heard all your words before? If you believe any of that then you do deserve the label of deluded. How is it possible that not one of us even read the bible, researched it, talked to our minister/pastor/shaman/priest/witch doctor about our doubts of God?
You honestly thought your meager words could come in here and shed some light on our past seeking of truth? ..... Jeez Abel wake up and smell the Easter lilies!
The people you have been conversing with have made their decisions a while back .... if you want to make a difference you damn well better get them before they get on agnostic forums .... if they have made it this far then they have made their decision and they are only waiting to "come out".
Some can't "come out" because they are still living with their parents and let's face it who ever pays the bills gets to drive your life for a while ... so the young ones lurk in the back ground and read what us older agnostics have to say and they long for the day that they can be open about how they feel about the drivel that their parents have forced on them.
Today's young people are not following in the path of their elders tithing away at the church, seeing all these mega churches be built ... they have read their bibles, gone to sunday school and know that the god the read about would find religion today as a sham .... how churches hide behind tax shelters .... how men of religion are forcing 14 year old girls to marry older men not for love but to fulfill some old guy's lust ....
you know what .... Abel ... you've had your moment to spout your beliefs and then vent your righteous indignation over alleged reference to cat poo and you have been found lacking ...
you say you thought we were open to new ideas new thoughts but dear Abel .... nothing you said was new ... same old tired rhetoric from mediocre minds ..... oh cat poo!
I've had my say ... begone little christian soldier ..... begone ....
