mark and number of the beast

I was doing some research on the mark and I found something very interesting. It turns out that the hebrews had a system of numerology called gematria that allowed them to speak against the roman emperor without the authorities knowing. And it just so happens that emperor Nero's name in this system was 666. The Bible states in rev13:18, " here is wisdom. let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:for it is the number of a man: and his number is 666."(KJV). Also talking about the mark of the beast, the coins used in the empire and Nero's head stamped on all of them. This could be the mark of the beast, as noone could by or sell without using these coins. I think they also had to have it stamped on their hands to, not sure. The part about the mark in the forehead could refer to the image of the coin being in the minds of all within the empire.

And yeah, that garbage about the antichrists name being 666 or whatever it is..I don't think it's exactly that but something like it..it happened 2000 years ago. Get over it.

Supposedly 666 when I was watching a documentery on the History Channel said that this number was code for the Christian rebels when they labeled the Caesar Nero (pretty sure it was Nero) and all that stuff in Revelations have nothing to do with future times but the trials and tribulations of the times it was written in. They also said John the Baptist was quite loose in the skull when he wrote them because of his utter defeat at the hands of Nero and his desire for God and Jesus to come back to save them which obviously they never did!

I would go with the crazy John theory (although it wasn't John the Baptist-he was killed by king Herod when Jesus was still alive). I mean, the romans put the guy in a vat of boiling oil. His whole body was covered in scar tissue instead of skin. He had to have been at least a little nuts.

John the apostle. One of Jesus' 12 disciples. John the Baptist wasn't one of the twelve. He was captured and beheaded during the time Jesus was teaching.

Its gonna happen near the end, people may have taken 666 then . Nero didnt fit everything, or the antichrist. but it also has yet to happen and it will be more than a number, pain suffering, hell. and the greek word , Is IN not on, the hand ,IN the hand, I asume it will be a chip, you know those things people are implanting into their dogs so if they run away they can track em down, kinda like that.
