I don't, and it wouldn't matter because the Rapture is far out of my hands. I am content with being ready for it, whenever it is.

I fear the progression to the end of the world, especially growing up in sheltered American society, most of us can't fathom things such as a famine. But the concept of the world ending is something I can accept.

But you would like it to happen soon wouldn't you? Spare you from all these little tribulations that humans perform for your God. Murder, Death, Despair, Famine, escape to that virtuous place in Heaven next to God where there is no pain, no death, only love and happiness. I mean how could anyone argue with a person who wants the pain to end!

You can't. But I don't see how such a place is possible. Do people lose all self-worth? Do they just cease to care about themselves? Because that is what causes all those things you mentioned.

Hmmm, if I told you that 5 dollars would yield you a million than you would undoubtedly give me 5 dollars. So why would the christians not WANT the end to come? If their heaven is the ultimate payoff for the way they have lived their lives, then why not welcome the end? Christianity is a good moralistic way to live your life, I'll give you that, but why fear something that is not to be feared?

I think we are a 5th grade science project and the end will come when the kid's six weeks is up. Well, maybe. Its for sure no one knows. I suspect man will exterminate man at some time. But an isolated chunk of space rock might do us in. Whatever, the Christians last words will be "I told you so".
