Actually, once you posit the supernatural, you forfeit all right to assume anything whatsoever.

Actually whatsoever is an easy game. The problem becomes anything bad becomes the problem to be justified by societal rules. You don't have the ability to see them... you pretend that you are society Jayhawker.

Are we to suppose that God has written more than one Bible and that he makes statements in one and then disagrees with himself in another? No, of course not. God only wrote one Bible. How, then, do we go about determining which “Bible” is the Bible? If we look to human opinion for the answer, we will find nearly as many opinions as we find people. One person will like one. Another person will prefer another. Yet a third person will assure us that it really doesn’t matter, telling us that any of them will do just fine. Since we aren’t interested in human opinion here, we need to look to scripture for help in resolving this issue. There are two questions that we will need to consider. (1) Which are the correct manuscripts?
(2) Which is the proper translation of those (the correct) manuscripts?
I somewhat agree. Over time there have been so many written and rewritten versions of the bible by so many people who claim that this is the truth, these are God's words. But also, you have to take into consideration that the bible was written about a hundred years after he had died. So in retrospect, can we take even the original bible as "the Word of God?"

Actually that statement is not exactly true. There is no 'forfeit'; an action taken by one person when considering another's premise, does not include the right or power to declare 'forfeit' for that person. Forfeit is a word that can only be spoken by one that decides to forfeit; 'disallow' or 'disallowed' are the right words you should use to justify your refusal to consider the other's more broad allowances. What you're really doing is setting the paramenters in which your willing to discuss.
