| GX never said you didn't have a heart .....
I commend you for staying in your friend's kids lives .... men have a very important role to play in a developing child's life ... they need both males and female teachings to be well rounded individuals .... some women can teach the male portions and males the female .... just depends on the person.

| I am absolutely certain that the Lord Jesus chose 12 men as his apostles and not 6 men and 6 women for no other reason than he would have been crucified far earlier by the prevailing patriarchal societies.
It is obvious that women had an equal place in the original church Christ initiated but that fact was suppressed by those males who wanted that fact suppressed for their own selfish, patriarchal reasons. If one really searches the Scriptures and the facts of Christ's new order, there was NO sexual discrimination what so ever. I refer to Gal. 3:28 as glaring evidence attesting to that.
Thank you |

| composer what about the gospel of Mary?
it was a male dominated society but it seemed to me that Jesus did not suffer from female discrimination .... some of the apostles were angry because of Jesus' love of Mary ....
I blame the Roman Catholic popes for the continued suppression of women in that time. I think the Muslims are continuing in the Roman Popes footpath and denying their women enlightenment. I don't get this whole testosterone dominance thing .... must be a carry over to our basic neanderthal conditioning.....
Don't misunderstand me I am not a feminist who demands that things need to be changed immediately! right this very minute! force every change this instant! but I like the progress that has occurred and want those changes to continue not only for women, but races as well ....
until that time there will always be someone who is the "underdog", the oppressed but progress is being made .... I just don't like the whole "cram it down someones throat" or else rhetoric ...
at one time women were revered for their ability to create life, to breast feed that child until old enough to help with the gathering of food with the others ... it's sad that there are still some places in the world that do not see women for the life force giving that they do (albeit with a little help from you guys) ....
the rape of African women and their young daughters sickens me, the same as what happened in eastern Europe .... men start the wars and the women get the remainder of the fall out .... oh well, enough for me now .... I don't want to become maudlin and blame you poor men for everything ....
Have a good day composer ... regards, Deb

BTW, speaking of little piggies .... did you see CNN yesterday when they followed the tornado with close ups? It was awesome ..... they were showing this tornado hit this huge hog farm ..... pigs were flying every where ... does that indicate that I need to straighten my act up 'cause I did say I would change a few things when "pigs flew" .... all joking aside look it on you-tube or something.

Anyway always loved reading about John Mortimer's Rumpole, for Horace was married to Hilda, She Who Must Be Obeyed.

It's about time I got in touch with my feminine side.
