Selfishness is a primary or sole concern with one's own welfare. All selves are selfish. The statement is neither tautological nor sophomoric. I've posted eleven times and been accused of sophomoric posting two times. Sophomoric means exhibiting great immaturity and lack of judgment. My response was mature, precise, and concise and does not, therefore, qualify as sophomoric.

This response, at least, is plagiarism and, therefore, qualifies as dishonest rather than 'mature'.

I did forget to cite my source of information. Was my lack of citation due to an honest mistake or was it due to a desire to dishonestly claim credit for others' work? You could've discovered the answer by viewing my posting history. Thus far, I have provided 28 citations for only 12 posts, and 31 citations if one includes this post [1][2][3]. With this track record of diligently providing citations, it seems obvious that my one time failing to provide a citation was an honest mistake. You could've responded politely, "You forgot to cite your source of information," and I could've politely conceded that fact and corrected the mistake, but instead you seized the opportunity to cannonade me with insults by calling me an immature, sophomoric, dishonest plagiarist. Do you get some thrill in demonizing others?

In that chapter I don't just go into ex nihilo but the whole of the Hebrew cosmology... the most notable matter being the rigid sky ceiling. That is such an obvious error. That might not be a shocker to some, but it was to me.

Job 37.18 does describe the firmament being as hard as a cast metal mirror. The word firmament in Hebrew is raqiya and it stems from the primitive root word raqa meaning "to stamp" or "beat out." The first page of the Old Testament contains the idea of the atmosphere being as hard as a cast metal mirror.
