I think a humor section would be cool - tell a joke, share a funny story. I guess pretty much like "the water cooler" but dedicated to humor. Just a thought.

Parameters...hmm...

Racial jokes should be avoided. We all know how touchy that can get.

Ethnic jokes OK as long as they aren't hateful or contain derogatory slurs. Yes I realize this could be a very gray area.

Religious jokes - open game.

Bad words should be sensored with the symbols of your choice.

Pretty much the same parameters that apply to the forum in general.

I'll ask the staff about this but it seems to me you could just start these types of threads in the Water Cooler section?

I agree, George, and I was thinking about that. I just thought it might be nice shortcut to find humorous topics withought sifting through the Water Cooler.

Of course, I admit, I have no idea how difficult it is to set up a new section.
I don't know if enough people would be interested to make it worthwhile. So, I'll trust your judgement. You're far more experienced at running a forum than I am.

I think that somebody could start a thread entitled "The Joke Thread" or something like that on the "Water Cooler" section. This would save a lot of time creating a new section. In the first post on this thread maybe it could be explained that this is the place to exchange jokes. The thread would always be near the top of the list if it becomes popular. Anyway, it's just a thought.
