I've begun to get a few polite (thank you ) PMs regarding the advertising here on AF. Some say it's a bit distracting and other's say they flat out don't like them. Though the advertising is necessary, especially considering the incredible growth and server load we've seen over the past few months with no signs of slowing down; I just don't want to take anything away from people by making the forum a paid forum. You all make this place what it is so I will never make it so you can't have the same access today as you did yesterday.
So what I've done is created a
special usergroup for members who feel like contributing. BUT... I'm not going to just let you contribute and not get
something in return. Premium Members will get a lot of cool extras which I'll list below.
OK right up front how much is this gonna cost me?
Premium Members can donate $19 for 1 YEAR as a premium member or just give it a try for $2 per month.
So What is Premium Membership and What do I get?
Well first of all you get the undying gratitude of everyone who logs on to this forum daily and participates in our community

But more importantly, Premium Members also get...
Green Username - Premium Members will be identified by a special green bold username instead of the plain blue one.
See almost NO ADVERTISING - For Premium Members all the advertising goes away except for the top banner on the site. That banner will stay there for no other reasons than that A) I have no clue what to put there in the empty space it would leave . And B) It might serve as a good place to make a major announcement in case we need to let you all know something quickly.
A larger PM box. - You can now store up to 500 Private Messages instead of the 100 you can now that quickly fills up.
Larger Avatar + Animated Avatars - You can now have a 100x100 avatar and it can even be animated!
Special Premium Members Only forum - I have created a special sub forum which only Premium Members can see with a few cool extras I think you'll appreciate. You will be able to post topics that you'd rather not be seen by the general forum public. But more importantly, because the forum is private
your posts will never be seen or indexed by search engines. So if you've got topics you'd rather discuss with a small number of devoted members this is for you. ALSO.... in this special forum you have limited moderating abilities.
Meaning any thread you start you can delete later whenever you like.
Signature Links - I'm not sure about this one but I'm going to give it a test run. Right now only staff members and Premium Members can have live links in their signatures. This keeps new members from registering just to spam us with their signature links and allows Premium Members the ability to advertise their site all they want.
First Shot at New Features - As we continue to grow and I add new features to the site I will most likely allow Premium Members to be the first ones to see or use them.

The site is growing exponentially. Just 2 months ago we only had 400+ members and only 3,000+ posts. We're now on track to hit 10,000 posts before or right around June 1st. So if you want to show your support for AF (and get rid of all the ads!)...
to pay with PayPal OR you can use your credit card through PayPal as well (you don't need a pre-existing PayPal account)
P.S. Your membership is upgraded INSTANTLY once you pay through the secure PayPal site and are brought back here to AF. So no need to worry about waiting for a staff member to upgrade your account.
