How do I stop the emails when I reply in a thread!

OK I got 2 messages about this so let me answer it here publicly.

Why do I get emails every time I reply in or start a thread?
Because the way this board is set up new members by default are "subscribed" to every thread they post in. I set it up that way so that new members who may not be familiar with how a message board works will get an email letting them know that someone replied to a thread they posted in.

OK that's nice but how the heck do I turn it off?

1. Go to the Edit Options section of your UserCP (User Control Panel) by following this link.
2. Scroll down to where it says Messaging & Notification.
3. In that section there is a section labeled Default Thread Subscription Mode.
4. Use the drop down menu in that section to select Do not subscribe.
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Save Changes Button.

And you're done.

So from now on you will not auto subscribe to threads. Now if you ever want to subscribe to a thread simply select that option from the Thread Tools menu at the top of any thread.
