I sense that there are a few people on this thread who are not well rounded. Why is it that you feel you have to defend your beliefs or your thoughts with other people in the world? so what ... you may be book smarter than a lot of people but are you happier? Who made it your crusade to enlighten those "ignorant" around you? You sound smug, arrogant, condescending, proud,disdainful, haughty, supercilious and just insultingly contemptuous of your fellow man. Explains many of you being lonely or alone.
Why aren't you out on a Saturday night with like minded friends? Oh, you only have a few friends .... the only true mental exercise you get is on this forum .... come on .... you are hermits hiding in your houses talking in cyber space with other "acceptable" intelligent people .... this make me think it might be you guys who are inferior to those you condemn.
When you get ready to die will you reflect back and say Ahhhhh, I wish I would have ...... done what ever ..... but instead I spent all my time in pursuit of an answer(s). I can't imagine that it's because you guys look like trolls but that your social skills are lacking and you put on this front of intellectual superiority, of disdain for others, when in fact you can't interact with mainstream people. You are as inflexible as you often accuse them of being, so what if they are uninformed? Would you rather be on line talking about the general ignorance of people or would you rather go out and interact face to face with like minded people. Is it because this is anonymous? You can hide behind your printed world and not have to deal with people? I personally believe it's because many of you are afraid or intimidated with people and have no patience with people who will not accept being enlightened by you. If you have poor social skills and are a genius ... big deal .... I'd rather be around someone with 10 fewer points on their IQ than with the smart person who can't have fun if they are not discussing "issues".
So let me ask this question .... how many of you superior people have a partner?.... a happy relationship? .... now here's a question to ask yourself, I don't want you to answer on this thread but ask yourself ... when is the last time you got laid? ... here's another to ask yourself and not answer here when is the last time you kissed someone with passion?
Follow your bliss is what Og says is the way to go ... have a life ... or better yet .. get a life. You can't possibly believe that there is no one around that you can relate to or have fun with. When is the last time any of you single people had a date? Like I said, you guys are mostly hermits ... you talk about life and living but you have no concept about how to actually live a blissful life. A couple of you hide behind this aura of superiority and the only arena in which you are superior is your brain ... I've also heard the expression ... ignorance is bliss ..... so perhaps those you believe ignorant are better off. I don't know if it's true but it's not our responsibility to teach the world to ask "the big questions".
I don't say any of this to be mean, I've said this same thing in PM's to the ones in this forum who are my cyber friends .... get out of the house and experience life. I see where some of you say you are lonely ... I wonder why? If all you do is talk esoteric to those you interact with .... I can see why you are not only lonely but alone. Some of you have even chased away those who have loved you or you loved them because of the way you interact socially. I've heard all this I'd rather be alone crap than have someone who isn't (fit in whatever descriptive adjective you choose) just to be with someone. I'll bet every single one of you would rather be with someone you love, not like a famile love, but a passionate one, than be reading what I write. There has to be a few of you who would rather be snuggled up on the sofa with someone you love .... but you're not. Why is it you choose to be alone and therefore lonely? You don't sound that intelligent to me. I rather pity those that are alone because they are misfits.
