A grand misconception but yeah thats seems a pretty accurate assessment. Movies the hero was perfect but oddly enough the writers of the time except naturally the pulp fiction writers (mind you they had their problems like drinking to excess and womanizing but it didn't affect their performance at all... laughs) wrote their heroes with defects I'm talking about good books and writers. My 57 year old friend turned me on to a few and I went oh so the true writers back then weren't like the script writers. I read some actual classics unwittingly that he gave me and I was credibly impressed and more when I saw the dates ranging back all the way to the 1930's if I remember correctly.

People still want a hero like I described before these days so they can tear them down. It's an odd twist in how sadistic people get these days to exploit peoples faults. Tiger Woods is the most careful person I know in the sports world but I am sure he is already damned for marrying a white woman (by black and white alike) so he separates himself.
