The government and the media are not mass beings bent on instilling us with fear to brainwash us. They are composed of people, individuals just like you and I. If they are overreacting and are paranoid of another attack, it is because they are scared. We have charged the government with our lives, similar to a child and parent. Think of the government sort of like an overprotective parent. And if we were attacked again, the government would be blamed. The media is charged with letting us know the truth about everything. Sort of like a gossipy friend. If there is something out there, we want to know it, and we want to know it now. You can't blame the media for reporting what we want to know. If as a group, we all up and decided to not read anything scary, then the media would be forced to print something else. Except for maybe a few honorable journalists who would persevere. And be hated. And then declared heroes. I refuse to believe we are being brainwashed. |
