Proof? Unless you have died and already faced judgement, we can't know God's mind.

You say "acknowledgement." Are you sure that is the best word? If all we did was say "Oh yeah Jesus is the savior and all that, now let's get on with our lives" we would be spiritually vegetating. It should be, "Jesus is the savior and I will follow him to my death" which is the true calling of a Christian.

Directed to Og, you say you do not believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible, I am curious, what is there that you don't take literally, excepting Creationism?
