 All the Law & Orders (sort of)
I've always been a fan of all of the Law & Order serieses, with some exceptions. The original series was very very good until they decided to let Chris Noth go and bring in that virtuous holier-than-thou Benjamin Bratt (ever read his story in Vanity Fair awhile back?). Lately though it's been looking quite tired - some of the long-term characters have long worn out their welcome (Lt. Van Buren & Jack McCoy can leave anytime) and I wasn't as thrilled with Dennis Farina's character as I had hoped to be. The Special Victims Unit is by far the best-written and hard-hitting, while Criminal Intent is just downright interesting because of the characters Bobby Goren & Mike Logan (nice that they brought him back!) I didn't care for Trial by Jury because Bebe Nieuwurth dressed too much like the Broadway star she is for her character to be believable (for me, anyways). |
