Without Doubt There is Complacency Without doubt there is no faith. If there is no doubt, there is no faith, the remainder would be complacency. Faith is essentially belief, it is the mental act of choosing one idea in favor of another. Belief is a certain confidence in an idea, a certain trust. The only good way to arrive at TRUE FAITH is after a careful balance and inspection of fundemental ideas presented and continual follow up.
We pick and choose what we believe in almost every aspect of our lives, hopefully using logic and good evidence to decide. For some reason when we are of a "FAITH" we suspend that critical thinking, and start making all sorts of assumptions and arrive at something that resembles FAITH but does not have the necessary components for true faith, it is nothing but a series of assumptions that hold up ideas THAT WE LIKE.
Doubt inspires a search for truth and evidence. Doubt is the underpinning of true faith. Doubt is a necessary component for building true confidence. Once we no longer doubt, we have rested from the necessary work of FAITH and become COMPLACENT - SELF SATISFIED, relaxed, vulnerable, and weak. |
