I don't worry about clothes on the floor and stuff ,,,, I just close his door ... if his room is a mes ... it's his mess he can live in it ... when his friends make fun of him ... he cleans it ... I choose to pick my battles with teenagers ... it makes no sense to worry about the little stuff if they bring home great grades and don't sass ....
I just bought him a Play station 3 and Grand theft Auto today ..... I'll bet he cleans his room this weekend .... it never fails if I do something nice for/to him he comes around and does things my way .... I use the reward system instead of the punishment system ... positive reenforcement works around here
