There is a philosophy of science you could look into, if you haven't already.
You also might consider linking physics with sports. e.g. Shooting hoops using an understanding of a parabola to get maximum distance/greatest height or hitting a baseball with a bat in connection with the moment arm - again thinking about maximum distance. Just a few quick ideas, have fun.
