You're right about the religious state. That's why the founding fathers fled England. I think. But the framers of the Constitution still created it on the principles of the 10 Comandments. Thus creating a Christian state. I believe that's correct. But, please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll freely admit I'm wrong if so. Thanks, Buzz |
I think if the founding fathers wanted a christian state they would of done things a lot different, I think they were afraid of a totalitarian government, that's why they set up so many checks and balances. I would also argue that a christian state would want to become a totalitarian state for the reason that it would be intolerant of other religions. If they wanted a religious state they would of put a priest up at least as equal to the president if not the president, they were very smart people and they knew that the government had to be for the people and not for any one religion.
