It would seem to me, from what you have stated about the relationship with your son, that you have somewhat forced you beliefs in your family.
You have a choice that is going to be hard for you: Accept him or lose him.
Not easy choices for one that believes as deeply as you, and not an easy thing to accept that a child rejects what the family has chosen.
