Right, but this has it's limits like everything else. While it does help to form one's foundation to understand this fact, it doesn't really help us on a practical level except from a fundamental perspective. We are all judgmental whether we admit it or not, it is unavoidable and very useful. But what's more important is that we judge wisely. Jesus' warning "Do not judge, or you too will be judged" was meant for the unwise so that they might perfect their minds first. The wise have no fear of being judgmental, they lay it all out there, they don't hide from judgment, they beg God to be judged.
