Welcome Buzz .... Thank you for coming forward and looking into where your son is coming from. I think you will find a diversity of age and beliefs on this forum. There are many of us who are parents and have experienced similar things with our children ... at our house .... my husband believes marginally, I don't believe, my 17 year old believes in God but not organized religion, my 26 and 29 year old step-daughters are very much Christian believers .... it all works out at our house ... at least when it comes in to personal spiritual belief ...
I only have one question for you .... just out of curiosity .... which would you rather your son come out and say .... I don't believe in God or I'm gay .... probably neither but I hope you see my point .... your son is at an age where he is seeking answers ... he sees all the crazy stuff going on in the world and wonders ... where is God in such in such a situation or whatever ... kids his age are trying to grow up and make sense of this world .... they question their parents and ultimately everything else ... if you have given him a good solid base .... he will come out fine .....
