Oh and we mustn't forget that an "Aussie" accent makes many a woman .... hmmmm .... lets say ...... "hot" perhaps is the word I am looking for .... it seems that the accent is a definite turn on for a lot of women
Aussie men seem to possess a cockiness and sexiness that is appealing to many women |
Pom = Prisoner of Her Majesty, apparently it was stencilled on the convicts uniforms here in Australia when it was a penal colony, now it's used here as a (playfully) derogatory nickname given to British people
I actually have a weiiird accent, part North-western English/North Eastern Welsh, part nasally aussie. Perhaps it's a shame I don't have the full accent, though
I do have to clarify I don't have anything against American people as a group, several of my favourite lecturers/tutors/students at my university are Americans and they are absolutely lovely people. Really it's more of a 'national attitude' thing, I find I have them for all countries and regions of the world and I kick myself every time I realise this. And I'm studying Anthropology this year, so I should know better
As for the Faroe islands... Bjarki insists on showing me photographs of the landscape there, never ceases to amaze me with the sheer natural beauty of the place, I recommend looking up a few pictures on the web.
