I suppose so, but I think you are missing my/the point; to think that DNA, genetic code, living cells, complex organs and the differences between classes of animals are CREATED by random mutations and natural selection is real absurdity if you really give it great consideration, and there is no evidence for any of that.
i don't see how it is absurd to suggest that in a population, if certain traits provide better chances of survival in it's environment (such as being faster), then over a period of time, the frequency of these traits in the population will increase, while the frequency of those without these traits will decrease (and eventually disappear). this has nothing to do with how DNA is created, but it does explain how the DNA of a population is changed and how different speicies are created. now we know that natural selection is not the only mechanism that will cause a population to evolve, but it is safe to say that it is a significant contributer to evolution as long as we live in a world with many environments that are constantly changing.
