If I were a Christian, I might say that Adam and Eve were not like ordinary humans as we know them today so you can't prove that Adam and Eve didn't exist using the knowledge we have now. So that's why God gave us the Bible and sent his Son, to tell us what happened in the past, and how to worship Him in the present, that way we can be with Him for ever in the future.

I'm not a Christian, but I know enough dogma to carry on an argument. I can tell you one thing though, the Christian argument has been lost before it even started.

Every single last Christian idea rests on the fact that the Bible is absolutely true. That's why they get so pissed off when you tell them that the Bible is just some inaccurate book full of nonsense. The smarter Christians know that if the Bible were wrong, everything they would not be able to come up with any good reason for believing in Jesus.

If you argue with Christians, every argument they use comes from some interpretation of the Bible. So every argument always ends up being about whether or not the Bible is true.

Bravo, Bravo.

That is the exact answer I was looking for. Hence the reason why I can't argue with my family about the same topic. Because they know that they are wrong, but they don't have the gall to try to prove me wrong without making an ass out of themselves.
