Default the justice system

innocent until proven guilty vs. guilty until proven innocent

innocent until proven guilty has low chances of an innocent person being punished, but on the downside, it makes it easier for a guilty person to escape unpunished.

on the other hand, guilty until proven innocent would have a low chance of a guilty person escaping punishment, but more likely to punish innocent people.

so which do you think is worse? punishing an innocent person (from fines, jail, or evan death) or letting a guilty person go free and unpunished?
