Don't be sorry. Just to clarify though, do you just mean there is no corroborating evidence you know of, or that you are fairly sure there is no corroborating evidence in existance? I've searched the net trying to find out if there is any evidence for Lam's story, but I found very few websites that mentioned her except in the context of a synopsis of the film.
I found a website talking about someone who doubted the film and implying he was right, but I don't know if that website or the person they talk about can be trusted.
