You're right it doesn't mean they never existed because we know they did. I can walk into any museum with dinosaur fossils and prove that. The point is teh bible didn't know they existed and was obviously written without that knowledge. A flaw.

Ironically... the bible.
The way the bible is written Adam and Eve were created with the full use of language and writing. So the fact that neandrathal man could barely make cave drawings let alone speak illustrates yet another of the many flaws in the bible. It's too easy to point them out. I could do this all day.
